Welcome to Oxford Multicultural Childcare

We are an extension of the family-owned Little Peoples Early Learning Group

Providing a high level of care to children across the Illawarra since 2003 we are excited to be given this opportunity to run a state of the art facility within the heart of Wollongong.

Being a part of the Illawarra community we are passionate about recognising the multicultural society in which we live. Early Childhood is a crucial time in the development of your child and we believe that ongoing engagement with families and the community are critical to a child’s development.

Our passion is to create an environment of high quality individualised care for children from a diverse range of cultures and backgrounds, providing children with a sense of connection with others and their community & understanding how all Australians from diverse backgrounds equally belong to this nation and enrich it.

Early Learning Programs

Our programmes offer a variety of learning areas and experiences
which allow children to participate and achieve to their individual potential.

Our centres maintain developmental records for individual children in our care. Individual development records are available for parents to discuss with a staff member, if requested.

The Early Years Learning Framework (Being, Belonging, Becoming) describes the principles, practice and outcomes essential to support and enhance young children’s learning from birth to five years of age, as well as their transition to school.

Our school readiness program refers to daily-programmed activities and experiences that are implemented throughout the year, encouraging the developmental skills that are optimal for children to retain before commencing school.

At Little Peoples Early Learning Centre’s the outdoors is viewed as a place for the children to grow and learn, that is why staff create outdoor learning environments that are engaging and interesting.

Technology and Media items will only be used as an extension to the daily program assisting in development of social, physical, emotional, cognitive, language and creative potential of each child.

We operate as an open door policy, where families are welcome to visit our service. We believe families are children’s first teachers and therefore embrace family involvement and participation within our curriculum.

What the Parents Say

I absolutely love the centres layout and staff, they care for every child.

My children have improved so much since attending.

Thank you guys

Chelsea has been at the centre for a year now and has loved it. The staff, past and present have all been a wonderful group of carers and educators. Their kindness, lovely natures and professionalism have made it easy for us to leave her in their care.
